SUSTAINABILITY PLAN

The Sustainability Plan was adopted by City Council on Tuesday, October 9th, 2012. 

The Sustainability Plan identifies a long-term vision, goals, and targets for sustainability, that are based on community collaboration.  It coordinates and links existing municipal plans and strategies in order to ensure that a sustainability objective is common to all.  The Official Plan, which guides the use of land in the City for the next twenty years, is one of the implementing tools to advance the strategies and recommendations of the Sustainability Plan, and ensure that the land use decisions are made in the context of municipal sustainability.
